3. Visa on Arrival: According to the Interior Ministerial Announcements, passport holders from 31 countries and territories (check here) may apply for visas at the immigration checkpoints for the purpose of tourism. Click here for more details.

4. Destination Thailand Visa: This type of visa is issued to an applicant who wishes to enter Thailand for the following purposes:

4.1 Digital Nomads/Remote Workers/Freelancers

4.2 Participants in activities (such as Muay Thai Course, Thai cooking class, Sport training, Medical treatment, Seminars, Music Festivals)

4.3 Spouse and dependent children of DTV holders

5. Non-Immigrant Visa:

5.1 Non-Immigrant “B”: This type of visa is issued to an applicant who wishes to enter Thailand to conduct business/ to work.

5.2 Non-Immigrant “ED”: This type of visa is issued to an applicant who wishes to Thailand to study/ to come on a work study tour or observation tour/ to participate in a project or seminar/ to attend a conference or training course/ to study as a Buddhist monk.

5.3 NON-Immigrant "F": This type of visa is issued to an applicant who wishes to Thailand to attend official meeting or official business in Thailand.

5.4 Non-Immigrant “O”: This type of visa is issued to an applicant who wishes to visit Thailand for other activities such as, to stay with family/ to perform duties for the state enterprise or social welfare organization/ to stay after retirement (for the elderly)/ to receive medical treatment/ to be a sport coach as required by the Royal Thai Government/ to be a contestant or witness for the judicial process.

Consolidation of Non-Immigrant Visa

Starting from August 31, 2025, the Department of Consular Affairs will restructure the Thai Non-Immigrant visa categories by consolidating the current 17 Non-Immigrant visa categories into 7 categories. This initiative aims to reduce redundancy and enhance the overall efficiency of Thailand’s visa application process. This change will have no impact on visa applicants.
